Pilot Testing the Standard
Following the publication of the Pilot Version of the Standard in September 2024, the team behind the UK Net Zero Carbon Buildings Standard are excited to be continuing our engagement with the industry through trialling the Pilot Version of the Standard on real projects.

The Pilot Testing scheme aims to gather feedback on the process of implementing the Standard across a range of sectors and project stages.
We have welcomed over 200 live projects onto our Pilot Testing Programme, gathering insight from:
-
Projects across all 13 Sectors represented in The Standard
-
Projects located across all regions of the UK
-
Existing buildings, new builds, and refurbishments, helping us to better understand how The Standard is being applied across different project- and lifecycle stages.

Throughout the Pilot Programme, we sought their feedback via surveys, webinar sessions with live Q+A, and discussion groups.

We have now closed the Pilot Testing Programme. A findings report will be produced, based on the collated, anonymised, analysis and feedback received. The key findings will be first shared with the Pilot Participants this autumn, before being made available to wider industry.
